Shashi Fagna is a highly skilled Data Scientist with a passion for exploring new technologies. Currently employed at L&T, he is working with the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) to enhance systems and algorithms and curb tax evasion measures. Shashi's responsibilities include identifying present issues with IRS Officers, finding possible solutions, and implementing them. He is also involved in upcoming E-Verification Portal and multiple analytics projects in CBDT (LTI's Project). Prior to his current role, Shashi completed an internship at PetroBot Technologies, where he built the inspection portal from scratch. He developed the client-facing Inspection Portal and fastAPI backend services with Swagger to simplify and standardize the process of data cleaning and uploading. This experience sparked his interest in Computer Science, and he is now fortunate to work in a field where he can explore multiple frontiers of the discipline. Shashi's past experience includes working as a Senior Data Engineer at L&T, where he developed an internal web tool to allow officers to run models on confidential data. He also performed processing and analysis of financial data received as part of Statement of Financial Transaction (SFT) from different sources across the country. Additionally, he maintained the graph database Neo4J and the graphDB visualization tool Linkurious for the internal CBDT Portal. Shashi holds a Bachelor of Technology in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Mandi. He also attended Cambridge Court High School and Father Agnel School. Shashi is proficient in a wide range of technologies, including Data Science, Research Science, infra, AWS, Javascript, Neo4j, Data Engineering, Python, Backend, NodeJS, Web, Frontend, SQL, Deep Learning, MongoDB, Search, Software Engineering, and Android.
